Biographical Notes

MARVO MD (Marco Lombardi) is an Italian electronic musician based in Rome. The project started in 2017 from various experiences that led him to play jazz, gospel, pop and rock, combined with his need to explore new worlds, expressing himself in new forms.

The Multiverse Saga

The artist named his new work Multiverse and split it into several parts. Each part corresponds to a separate digital EP. The word “Multiverse” itself describes the common thread between each element: in fact, each part/EP explores different moods, universes, and atmospheres while maintaining MARVO MD’s musical identity at the base.

Multiverse EP

The first chapter of the Multiverse saga has been released by theDustRealm Music label on April 30th 2021. It basically has a dance/disco mood, strongly inspired by the french touch sound.

Multiverse 2: Metropolis

Multiverse EP represented a new route in MARVO MD’s artistic journey. Its three tracks, clearly indebted to French chic electronics, needed further geographical exploration: Marco Lombardi travels the globe and offers us Multiverse 2: Metropolis. The EP is a journey towards a sonic entropy laid on resolute and extrasensory electronic beats. A hypnotic oriental drum machine characterizes the “Osaka” track. Mokha (named after a Yemen city) tells about luxurious and thaumaturgical timeless nights. eThekwini is an oneiric track bounded to the origins of man.

MARVO MD’s new experiment is intriguing: it blends electronic sounds with tribal elements from world music. Let yourself be carried away by the music as if you were in contact with the waves on a pagoda in the open sea. Each of the three tunes is a distinct journey. Modern and at the same time archaic sounds adorns the tracks, testifying MARVO MD’s research need.

A work to listen to without parachute or navigator, as curiosity is a superb and daring captain.
